Green Fluorite Crystal with Blue Druzy

A blue druzy stone is set onto a green fluorite double terminated faceted crystal. I used a lead free jewelers soft solder which is a mix of tin, copper and silver. The sterling silver chain is finished with my signature sterling silver clasp. This necklace is adjustable. The clasp can link to any part of the chain. Length is about 18” and is adjustable

Fluorite, also called fluorspar, comes in a variety of colors including shades of purple and lavender, clear and green banded as well as yellow, green, blue-green, white and rainbow. Its name comes from the Latin word “fleure” which means “to flux,” which in turn means, “flowing out” or “continuous change.” Fluorite is aligned with the astrological signs of Pisces and Capricorn. It is believed to stabilize energy, increasing the ability to concentrate and helping one to understand and maintain relationships. It is said to promote impartiality for unbiased reasoning. Druzy Quartz refers to a layer of minute quartz crystals that have crystallized on the surface of a quartz based mineral. Druzy Quartz has a sugar-like appearance. They are often found in the hollow cavity of Agate geodes.
